When we talk about seeing ‘the big picture’ … this is the biggest of them all!
Truly grasping today’s passage will help confirm our ultimate calling and purpose for our lives here and now as followers of Christ.
Paul says in 2 Corinthians 5:18-21,
“But all these things are from God, who reconciled us to Himself through Christ and gave us the ministry of reconciliation, that is, that God was in Christ reconciling the world to Himself, not counting people’s sins against them. And He has committed to us the message of reconciliation. So we are ambassadors for Christ, as though God were making His appeal through us; we plead with you on behalf of Christ to be reconciled to God. He made Christ who knew no sin to be sin on our behalf, so that in Him we would become the righteousness of God.”
Easter is right around the corner, and may we have a renewed passion for sharing Jesus with our family and friends who continue to reject His offer to take on their sins so they can live forever with Him in heaven after they die.
And may we be grateful daily for being able to be in a right relationship with Jesus due to His gracious loving kindness towards us.
